I did something... can no longer get in to my email account. Any ideas?

I was 'cleaning up' my macbook air and must have deleted something I need to open my mail. The icon is still at the bottom of the page. When I click on it, the bar at the top of the page looks normal, but nothing else shows up. Any ideas what stupid thing I did (in regards to my computer that is; I know you have no clue as to how many other stupid things I've done, i.e. getting married at 19 for starters...)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

As a workaround, can you access your Mail from your browser? With iCloud or Gmail that is very easy.

As for the 'cleaning': did you do that manually? Or did you use one of the many cleaning tools (also known as crapware)?
